Add Partner Admin to Exempt Users for SSO Enabled Accounts
Add Exempt Users for SSO Access
Objective
Provide the steps needed to grant our team access when single sign-on (SSO) is enabled by adding designated Processology users as exempt users. This ensures we can access the account without affecting SSO access for the rest of the team.
Key Steps
1. Open account settings 0:13
- Click the gear icon in the top-right corner of the account.
- This opens the Settings area where security options are managed.
2. Navigate to the SSO settings 0:13
- In the left-hand menu, select Security.
- Find the Single Sign-On dropdown.
- If needed, click to expand the dropdown so the available options are visible.
3. Manage exempt users 0:23
- Locate and click Manage exempt users.
- This section controls which users can bypass SSO for access purposes.
4. Add Processology users as exempt 0:32
- Add the following email address as an exempt user:
- michael@processology.net
- michael@processology.net
- Confirm the users are saved in the exempt users list.
5. Confirm completion by email 0:56
- Send us an email letting us know the exempt users have been added.
- Once confirmed, we can use the access without needing the standard SSO login path.
Cautionary Notes
- Do not add exempt users unless you intend to allow access outside of the normal SSO flow.
- This change only affects the users added to the exempt list; it should not disable SSO for the rest of your team.
- Make sure the email addresses are entered exactly as provided to avoid access issues.
- Once our engagement is complete, you may remove us from the list or your account.
Tips for Efficiency
- Have the exempt email addresses ready before opening the settings page.
- After saving, verify that the exempt user appears in the list before sending confirmation.
- Reply to the access request email immediately after completing the setup to avoid delays.
