How Tasks Work Across Billing Cycles

Understand unused capacity, work already underway, and requests submitted near the end of a cycle.

Unused capacity does not roll over

Unused monthly tasks expire at the end of the billing cycle. Plan ahead and submit requests with enough time for review and delivery within the current cycle.

Work already started will be completed

We complete tasks that we have already started within a billing cycle. The end of the cycle does not mean that active work is simply abandoned.

New tasks use available capacity

New tasks use an available task slot in the current billing cycle. Requests submitted too close to the end of a cycle may not start until the next cycle begins.

Submitting a request does not guarantee that work will begin or finish in that cycle. Your priorities, task scope, and available capacity affect scheduling.

Plan around your cycle

  • Submit early: Allow time for triage, work, feedback, and approval.
  • Identify priorities: Explain which requests are most important and why.
  • Share deadlines: Tell us about time-sensitive needs in advance so we can discuss what is feasible.
  • Know your dates: Check the start and end dates of your billing and benefit cycles.
